Papers published in Kanayagan: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat Bidang Seni may be considered for retraction if:

• There is clear evidence that the findings are unreliable, either as a result of misconduct, such as data fabrication, or honest error, such as miscalculation or methodological error.
• The findings have previously been published elsewhere without proper cross-referencing, permission, or justification, including cases of redundant publication.
• The article constitutes plagiarism.
• The article reports unethical community service activities.

The retraction mechanism follows the Retraction Guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), which can be accessed at publicationethics.org.

Authors are not allowed to withdraw submitted manuscripts because withdrawal wastes valuable resources, including the time and effort invested by editors, reviewers, and the publisher in processing the submitted manuscript.

• If an author still requests the withdrawal of a manuscript while it is under peer review, the author will be required to pay a withdrawal penalty of USD 1,000 per manuscript to the publisher. It is also considered unethical to withdraw a manuscript from one journal after it has been accepted by another journal.
• If an author requests withdrawal after the manuscript has been accepted for publication, the author will be required to pay a withdrawal penalty of USD 1,500 per manuscript. Manuscript withdrawal is only permitted after the withdrawal penalty has been fully paid to the publisher.
• If the author does not agree to pay the withdrawal penalty, the author and their affiliation may be blacklisted from publishing in this journal. In addition, previously published articles by the author may be removed from the journal’s online system.
