Publication Ethics
Jurnal Swara - Antologi Pendidikan Musik is committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in scientific publication. This publication ethics statement is based on the guidelines from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). These publication ethics apply to Authors, Editors (Editorial Board), and Reviewers involved in the publication process of this journal.
1. Authors
Originality and Plagiarism
Authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript is an original work and has not been previously published in other journals or proceedings. The use of other people's work and/or words must be properly acknowledged with appropriate citations. Manuscripts will undergo a plagiarism screening process.
Multiple Submissions
Authors must not concurrently submit the same manuscript to more than one journal.
Data Accuracy
Authors must present findings and data accurately, without fabrication, falsification, or unethical data manipulation.
Acknowledgement of Sources
Authors must provide proper acknowledgement to all parties who significantly contributed to the research. The reference list must include all relevant publications that influenced the nature of the reported work.
Authorship
Authorship should be limited to those who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported research. All listed authors must approve the final version of the manuscript and its submission for publication.
Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest
All authors must disclose any financial or other substantive conflicts of interest that might be construed to influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript.
Fundamental Errors in Published Works
If authors discover a significant error or inaccuracy in their published work, it is their obligation to promptly notify the journal editor and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the manuscript.
2. Editorial Board (Editors)
Publication Decisions
Editors take full responsibility for deciding which articles should be published in the journal, ensuring the scientific quality and relevance of the published articles. Editors will always consider the scientific validity, originality, and relevance of the manuscript to the journal's focus and scope.
Fair Play
Editors evaluate manuscripts solely based on their scientific quality regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.
Confidentiality
Editors and editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the authors, reviewers, potential reviewers, and the appropriate editorial advisory board.
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Editors must not use unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript for their own research without the written consent of the author. Editors must recuse themselves from handling manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest.
3. Reviewers (Mitra Bestari)
Contribution to Editorial Decisions
Peer review assists editors in making editorial decisions and, through editorial communication with authors, may also assist authors in improving the quality of the manuscript.
Confidentiality
Any manuscript received for review must be treated as a confidential document. Manuscripts must not be shown to or discussed with others except as authorized by the Editor.
Objectivity
Reviews should be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. Reviewers should express their views clearly with supporting arguments.
Acknowledgement of Sources
Reviewers should identify relevant published works that have not been cited by the authors. Any statement that an observation, derivation, or argument has been previously reported must be accompanied by the relevant citation.
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Reviewers who feel unqualified to review the research reported in a manuscript or know that its prompt review will be impossible should notify the Editor and excuse themselves from the review process.
