About the Journal

SWARA: Antologi Pendidikan Musik is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published by Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. The journal serves as a platform for researchers, educators, practitioners, and students to disseminate original research, theoretical studies, literature reviews, and innovative practices in music education and related disciplines.

SWARA welcomes high-quality manuscripts covering various areas of music education, including music pedagogy, music theory, vocal and instrumental learning, ethnomusicology, music technology, curriculum development, assessment, and interdisciplinary studies in music. All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure academic quality and research integrity.

The journal is published three times a year, in April, August, and December, and provides immediate open access to all published articles to promote the global dissemination of scholarly knowledge in music education.

The August 2026 issue of SWARA: Jurnal Antologi Pendidikan Musik brings together scholarly voices from five higher education institutions across Indonesia: Hamzanwadi University, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (Indonesia University of Education), STT SAAT, Sekolah Tinggi Agama Kristen Protestan Negeri Sentani, and Universitas Negeri Jakarta (State University of Jakarta). This institutional diversity highlights the growing collaboration and exchange of ideas among music educators and scholars across different academic and geographical contexts, contributing to a broader and more inclusive landscape of music education research in Indonesia.
